What's already running out of the box
The one-click deploy sets up MinIO inside a Docker container with the S3 API and simplified object browser exposed on their standard ports. The container is configured to restart automatically on reboot. No database is required — MinIO stores objects and metadata directly on the attached disk, which is why VPS disk sizing matters more than for typical web apps deployed with MinIO vps docker configurations elsewhere.
First access and credentials
Root access key and secret key are generated during installation and surfaced in the Leneex panel. Use them to connect any S3-compatible client — aws-cli, rclone, or the official mc tool — pointing at the server's S3 API endpoint rather than logging into a web dashboard for admin tasks.
Working within the Community Edition's current limits
Since mid-2025, the bundled console only offers basic object browsing — bucket and object listing, uploads, downloads — with no built-in interface for creating IAM users, editing bucket policies, or configuring lifecycle rules. All of that goes through the mc CLI: run mc alias set myminio <endpoint> <access-key> <secret-key> over SSH to connect, then manage policies, versioning, and lifecycle rules from there.
Because MinIO's public repository has been archived and no longer receives official patches, treat this deployment as functionally stable but frozen — plan accordingly for anything handling sensitive or regulated data long-term.
