Run the servers other people build on

Leneex is a small hosting company with an office in Nicosia. We run VPS in 19 countries, dedicated servers, SSL and domains, with a support desk that works around the clock. We hire people who fix the cause, not the ticket.

Support3

  • You will be the first person our customers talk to. Most questions are practical: a site does not open after a DNS change, a VPS needs a reinstall, an SSL certificate will not validate. You solve most of them yourself and hand the rest to L2 with everything they need.

The desk works around the clock in 12-hour shifts on a 2/2 schedule. Shifts are planned a month ahead, and nobody handles more than three chats at a time.

    What you’ll do
    • Answer chat and tickets in English within our response times
    • Diagnose common issues: DNS and propagation, SSH access, reinstalls, rescue mode, control panels
    • Walk customers through domain transfers and SSL validation by email, DNS or file
    • Escalate to L2 with clean notes: what was checked, logs, timestamps
    • Spot questions that repeat and suggest knowledge base articles for them
    What we’re looking for
    • Comfortable with Linux on the command line: ssh, systemctl, logs, disk and memory usage
    • You understand how DNS, HTTP and SSL fit together
    • Clear written English: customers read your answers, not your intentions
    • Ready for a shift schedule, including nights and weekends
    • Calm with frustrated people
    Nice to have
    • Experience in hosting or ISP support
    • ISPmanager, Hestia, Plesk or cPanel
    • Russian or another language our customers write in

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

A customer changed nameservers an hour ago, and now their site shows another company’s page. What do you check first?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

  • L2 is where tickets go when the obvious checks did not help. A server does not boot after a kernel update, MySQL eats all the memory, a site got slow after moving to us, mail ends up in spam. You find the reason and fix it, or tell the customer exactly what to change.

You also run our free migrations: moving sites, databases and mail from other providers without downtime. And you are the one who teaches L1, through reviews, notes and articles.

    What you’ll do
    • Take escalated tickets and own them until they are closed
    • Debug Linux servers: boot problems, full disks and inodes, OOM, high load, broken packages
    • Tune web stacks: nginx, Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL or MariaDB, PostgreSQL
    • Migrate customer projects from other providers and control panels
    • Review L1 answers and turn repeated cases into articles and macros
    • Report recurring platform problems to infrastructure, with evidence
    What we’re looking for
    • 3+ years administering Linux servers or in hosting support
    • Strong with nginx or Apache, PHP-FPM and at least one SQL database
    • Mail basics: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, reading SMTP logs
    • You can read top, iostat or a slow query log and explain what you see
    • Clear written English
    Nice to have
    • Docker and common app stacks: WordPress, Laravel, Node.js
    • Rescue systems and KVM guests
    • Bash or Python for small automations

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

A WordPress site became slow right after a migration to a VPS with the same CPU and RAM. Walk us through how you would find out why.

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

  • Every hosting company gets complaints about what runs on its network: spam, phishing pages, copyright notices, hacked servers that now scan others. You handle them fairly and fast, protecting the network’s reputation without punishing customers who were victims themselves.

You will work closely with support, legal and infrastructure, and with blocklist operators and CERTs when needed.

    What you’ll do
    • Process abuse reports and feedback loops within our response times
    • Investigate: confirm the problem, find the server and the customer, keep the evidence
    • Agree on fixes and deadlines with customers, and suspend services when the policy requires it
    • Request delisting from blocklists once the problem is fixed
    • Keep abuse procedures and templates up to date with legal
    What we’re looking for
    • Experience in abuse handling, trust and safety, or hosting support
    • You understand email headers, SPF and DKIM, DNS, and how spam and phishing work
    • Comfortable reading logs and using basic network tools
    • Good judgement and precise written English
    • Basics of GDPR and the EU Digital Services Act, or a will to learn them quickly
    Nice to have
    • Experience with Spamhaus, Abusix or similar
    • M3AAWG best practices
    • Russian or another language

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

We receive a phishing report about a page on a customer’s VPS, and the customer is a small web studio. What are your next three steps?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

Infrastructure2

  • Our VPS run on KVM hypervisors with local NVMe storage in data centres in 19 countries. You will keep that fleet healthy: bringing up new nodes, rolling out updates without waking customers, watching capacity and fixing what monitoring flags.

Most of the hardware sits in partner data centres, so much of the work is remote: IPMI, rescue systems and clear tickets to remote hands when a disk needs swapping.

    What you’ll do
    • Install and configure new hypervisor nodes with Ansible
    • Plan and run kernel, QEMU and firmware updates with minimal disruption to guests
    • Watch capacity per location and plan hardware purchases with the team
    • Respond to infrastructure alerts in your on-call week
    • Work with remote hands: disk swaps, cabling, RMA
    • Write runbooks and post-mortems after incidents
    What we’re looking for
    • 4+ years administering Linux in production, ideally at a hosting company or ISP
    • KVM, QEMU and libvirt in depth: networking, storage, live migration
    • Ansible or another configuration tool you have used for real
    • Monitoring with Prometheus, Zabbix or similar, and the habit of tuning alerts
    • Comfortable with IPMI and servers you cannot touch
    Nice to have
    • Proxmox, Ceph or ZFS
    • Provisioning systems for VPS
    • RHCE, LFCS or similar

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

A hypervisor with 40 guests shows rising I/O wait on one NVMe drive. What do you do in the next hour?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

  • Each of our locations has its own uplinks, IP ranges and routing. You will own how it fits together: BGP sessions with transit providers and internet exchanges, our IPv4 and IPv6 space, and the latency customers see from every city.

We are at the size where the whole network still fits in one head — yours. Expect to make decisions, not just close tickets.

    What you’ll do
    • Run BGP with upstreams and internet exchanges in our locations
    • Manage our IPv4 and IPv6 space and RIPE NCC objects, including RPKI
    • Plan capacity and new uplinks with data centre partners
    • Investigate latency, packet loss and routing issues customers report
    • Automate configuration and keep the network documented
    What we’re looking for
    • 3+ years running production networks at an ISP, hosting company or carrier
    • BGP in practice: policies, communities, filtering, RPKI
    • Hands-on with Juniper, Arista, Cisco or a comparable vendor
    • Linux networking: VLANs, bridges, routing on hypervisors
    • Clear written English for working with providers
    Nice to have
    • RIPE NCC LIR experience
    • Automation with Python, NetBox or Ansible
    • EVPN and VXLAN

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

Customers in one country report high latency to our Frankfurt location, but only in the evenings. How would you find the cause?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

Engineering2

  • Everything a customer does — ordering a VPS, renewing a domain, issuing an SSL certificate — goes through our Laravel code. You will work on the parts that talk to the outside world: registrars, certificate authorities, payment providers and our own hypervisors.

The stack is PHP 8.4, Laravel, PostgreSQL, queues and Filament for the admin. The website you are reading runs on it too, with Inertia and React.

    What you’ll do
    • Build and maintain integrations with registrars, SSL vendors and payment providers
    • Work on order, renewal and provisioning flows and the queues behind them
    • Design internal APIs for the website, the client area and support tools
    • Write tests for money and provisioning paths: those cannot break
    • Review code and keep the codebase easy to change
    What we’re looking for
    • 4+ years with PHP, 2+ with Laravel in production
    • PostgreSQL or MySQL beyond the ORM: indexes, transactions, locks
    • Queues, retries and idempotency: you know why a payment webhook can arrive twice
    • Testing with Pest or PHPUnit
    • Good written English for code review and docs
    Nice to have
    • Billing systems or EPP for domains
    • Filament or Livewire
    • Some React and TypeScript

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

A registrar’s API times out after it has already registered the domain. How should our order flow handle that?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

  • You will work on what customers see: this website, the configurator where they pick a server and the client area where they manage it. Pages are rendered on the server for speed and search, then come alive with React.

The stack is React 19 with the React Compiler, TypeScript, Inertia, Tailwind CSS 4 and Motion. We care about details: keyboard navigation, reduced motion, and pages that stay fast on a cheap phone.

    What you’ll do
    • Build pages and components from designs, with the designer in the loop
    • Develop the server configurator and checkout
    • Keep pages fast: Core Web Vitals, bundle size, images and video
    • Make interfaces accessible and working in every browser we support
    • Agree on the shape of data with backend developers
    What we’re looking for
    • 3+ years with React and TypeScript in production
    • Strong CSS: layout, responsive design, Tailwind or a similar system
    • Server-side rendering with Inertia, Next.js, Remix or similar
    • Accessibility basics: semantics, focus, ARIA only where it is needed
    • An eye for detail: you notice 2 pixels
    Nice to have
    • Motion or other animation libraries
    • Some PHP or Laravel
    • Checkout and payment forms

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

A page scores well in Lighthouse, but users on mobile say it feels slow. Where do you look?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

Marketing2

  • Our knowledge base is often the first place customers look, and a good article saves a ticket. You will write and maintain guides: connecting to a server for the first time, setting up a firewall, issuing an SSL certificate, moving a site from another host.

Every article is tested on a real server before it goes live, and you get your own VPS for that. Support tells you what customers ask most, SEO tells you what they search for.

    What you’ll do
    • Write new guides and rewrite old ones, in English
    • Test every command and screenshot on a real server
    • Turn answers that support repeats into articles
    • Keep articles in sync with product changes
    • Work with SEO on titles, structure and internal links
    What we’re looking for
    • A portfolio of technical writing: docs, tutorials or a technical blog
    • You use Linux and the command line yourself
    • Excellent written English: plain, short and exact
    • A feel for structure: you know when a list of steps beats a paragraph
    Nice to have
    • Russian, for the Russian version of the knowledge base
    • Docs-as-code, Markdown and Git
    • Basic HTML

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

Pick any article from our knowledge base. What would you change in it, and why?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

  • Hosting is one of the most competitive niches in search. You will own how people find us: technical SEO for a large multilingual site, content plans for service pages, the knowledge base and the blog, and honest reports on what works.

You get direct access to developers and the CMS, so fixes do not wait in a queue for months.

    What you’ll do
    • Run technical SEO: indexing, sitemaps, hreflang, structured data, Core Web Vitals
    • Plan content for VPS, domain and SSL pages and for the knowledge base
    • Write briefs for writers and review texts before they go live
    • Track rankings, traffic and conversions in Search Console and GA4
    • Find and fix internal linking and cannibalisation problems
    What we’re looking for
    • 3+ years in SEO, ideally for SaaS, hosting or another technical product
    • Technical SEO in depth: you can read a crawl report and a server log
    • Experience with multilingual sites and hreflang
    • GA4, Search Console and a crawler like Screaming Frog or Sitebulb
    • Clear written English
    Nice to have
    • Link building in a B2B niche
    • Basic SQL or Python for working with data
    • Sites rendered with React

Instead of a cover letter, answer one question

Our VPS country pages compete with each other in search. How would you check whether that is true, and what would you do?

    Apply by email

We reply to everyone within 5 working days.

How we work

  1. 01

    Support is engineering

The people who answer tickets can log in and fix the server. Developers and admins read support threads every week, so nobody builds blind.

  2. 02

    Fix the cause

A ticket closed with a workaround comes back next month. We would rather spend an extra hour and remove the reason.

  3. 03

    Write it down

Runbooks, post-mortems and knowledge base articles are part of the job, not extra work. Someone on a night shift will thank you.

  4. 04

    Small team, real ownership

No layers of managers. You own a piece of the platform end to end, and you can see the customers who use it.
